Library Curriculum
The most important lessons in the library are those that engage children in the discovery of outstanding stories and interesting information! Other priorities are to teach students how to choose books in the library and how to safely access, question, and research using reliable resources; so they can become digital citizens who can make informed decisions. By challenging students to read, learn, imagine, research, and create; the library lessons will also foster an inspiring, collaborative environment for Baker students.
The library curriculum includes mastery of the standards necessary for students to be effective library users and researchers. Library lessons are integrated with topics and skills that are relevant to the classroom. Mrs. Connor also supports classroom learning by collaborating with teachers to enrich classroom instruction and help with the use of technology.
Students are also introduced to a variety of coding platforms!
